Overnight Camp – Broadwater National Park
7 November @ 8:00 am - 8 November @ 5:00 pm
A close trip but a nice break away for the weekend. Once we set up camp at Broadwater, or on the way in, we will collect some firewood for the evening, so camp oven cooking will be possible. Please bring a chainsaw if you have one.
Enjoy the afternoon by relaxing or maybe a walk or a swim. If going swimming in the creek, be aware that Bullrout (Fresh water stonefish) do inhabit the creek, so walking on rocks in the water is not recommended.
It may be possible to look for some tracks in the nearby state forest. as Broadwater is a national park, a camping permit is required to be purchased for the night. Permits can be purchased online at http://parks.nprsr.qld.gov.au/permits
Please check club email for more details and correct departure times.
PLEASE NOTE: Trips may change at any stage due to rain or availability of trip leaders. If you have any trips you think that the club would like to do, please do not hesitate to talk to one of our friendly trip coordinators and they will be more than willing to help you lead a trip or organise one. Remember that we need trip leaders to run some of these trips, it is a very easy job to do as you will be guided by someone with a bit of experience.
